Victoria Market & City

As you know, my family and I went to the city on the day Victoria Market was closed. So this time, I followed Debbie, Jessie and Kathy to the city! Okay, the one mistake I made was - I did not know there's Weekend Savers train tickets on Saturdays and Sundays. Zone 1 + Zone 2 is only AUD15 or AUD18 and you can validate it for 5 times. The one I bought was Full Fare Zone 1 + Zone 2 which cost me AUD10.80, which you can only validate once. AAaarrrrgghhh!

Okay forget about that. Show you some pics @ Victoria Market~

There are a few sections, such as meat section, fruits and vegetables section, clothes and gift...

Friends getting some nuts...

...buskers...

No cash? $$$

After our Victoria Market trip, we decided to check out DFO (Direct Factory Outlet...i think...) Apparently the clothes there are cheap. But the cheap items there are obviously not the latest fashion. Anyways, we took the tram and walk (quite far) to the mall.
...passed by Melbourne Aquarium

not sure why are they displaying helicopters...

Melbourne Exhibition Centre

Tadaaa~~~~
STEAMBOAAAAT

You can find this in Chinese restaurants. Fried with red bean paste inside

Fried milky-ish flour in the inside. G.O.O.D
There's even tong yuin (tang yuen)

As for the pricing, it is not charge as per plate. Not like those set steamboat. They will give you a menu, and you have to write down the 'quantity' of plates you want for a particular food. If you have finish eating all and you want more, just wave at the waiter and he'll pass you the menu again - and continue ordering till you are FULL and SATISFIED! And it only cost you AUD23 per person. The only difference is that in Malaysia, you have to walk to get your food. But this place, you just sit and they will come to you. ^^

Before we got to the train station, manage to get some groceries from a popular Asian Grocery in the city and Coles. And I just found out that, in Coles supermarket (i think it applies to Woolworth/Safeway as well), there are counters with no cashiers. D.I.Y! You scan your item and put in the bag yourself. Payment will be by cards (in Australia, they key in their pin code for the credit/debit card they hold - not like in Malaysia, whereby we sign for card payments) or in cash (something like auto-pay parking system, whereby you put in paper notes and coins into the machine). Interesting!

Get out from the city about 7pm...
some warning signs for you to know... haha!
